The Appeal
| The Appeal written by Rudyard Kipling |
| This poem appears right at the end of his collected poems: first published posthumously in 1939. | Link to further information |
If I have given you delight
By aught that I have done,

And for the little, little, span
The dead are born in mind,
Seek not to question other than
The books I leave behind.
