Źle się w oliwie poczuły szprotki.
Cukier się martwił, że jest za słodki,

Czapla wzdychała: "Mam grube nogi",
Mól na suficie szukał podłogi.

Kreda się gryzła, że taka biała,
Krowa nad własnym mlekiem biadała,

Sól uważała, że jest nie słona,
Wąż biegł i wołał: "Nie mam ogona!"

Atrament płakał, że jest w żałobie,
Zegar rzekł stojąc: "Pójdę już sobie",

Ślimak zapewniał, że nie jest brzydki,
Woda jęknęła: "Zmokłam do nitki".

Wierzba zdębiała. Dąb się zaperzył.
Jeż się okocił, a kot najeżył.
