Usypiają ludzkie dzieje
Zmierzchem byle jakim,
Wieczór w niebie wilgotnieje
Pachnąc tatarakiem.
Aniołowie młodym gajom
Rozczesują liście,
Wszyscy święci przebierają
Różańce perliście.
A to tylko gwiazdy pierwsze
Świtają w błękitach. -
Bóg o ludziach pisze wiersze,
Których nikt nie czyta.
