My love laughs sweeter than a brook
That has been drinking rain all day;
She like a blackbird sings, when he
Has not one feather dry, in May.
When I can hear her laugh like that,
My hand starts forth to clutch her gown;
Lord, if she dances while she laughs,
My mind makes plans to pull her down.
