Strażak i cyklista Wiersz written by Jan Brzechwa

Na wieży strażackiej w Chełmie
Stał strażak w błyszczącym hełmie.

Zobaczył w dole cyklistę,
Bo powietrze było czyste.
Rzecze tedy, patrząc z wieży:
"A cóż to za mucha bieży?
Najwyżej centymetr mierzy,
I nie cały, lecz połowę..."

A cyklista zadarł głowę
I sam do siebie powiada:
"Ależ to widok nie lada,
Gdy na wieży mucha siada
I tam strażaka udaje!
Też mi dopiero zwyczaje!"

Każdy więc myślał o sobie
Jako z dużej osobie
I choć to złudzenie kruche,
Drugiego uważał za muchę.
