This work was created and first published in South Africa and is in the public domain there because it is a speech of a political nature or a speech delivered in the course of legal proceedings.
According to the Copyright Act, 1978, § 12 (8) (a), "No copyright shall subsist [...] in speeches of a political nature or in speeches delivered in the course of legal proceedings." It is also in the public domain in Canada and other countries and areas accepting the rule of the shorter term, but not necessarily in the public domain in the United States or other countries or areas rejecting the rule of the shorter term. |
