(Česky)  Účelem šablony je při vícestránkových textech umístit poznámky vždy na té které stráce. Je určena pro vkládání původních poznámek pod čarou do textů, kde se na jedné stránce Wikilivres nachází více stránek původního textu, formátovaných pomocí např. class=prose (s odsazením první řádky každého odstavce), stránky jsou pak navíc obvykle číslovány pomocí šablony {{pagenumber}}.

Vložení se provede syntaxí

... text poslední řádky stránky X
{{pagenote|text poznámek}}
pokračování textu na stránce Y ...

resp.

... text poslední řádky stránky X
{{pagenote|text poznámek}}{{pagenumber|000}}
pokračování textu na stránce Y ...

na konci té které stránky, přičemž je nutno zachovat jednoduché řádkování jako zde (jinak bude první řádka následující stránky odsazena doprava). Všechny poznámky se udají jako jeden parametr {{{1|}}}, při více poznámkách se užije funkce <br /> bez řádkování, např.

* pozn. č. 1 <br />* pozn. č. 2 atd.<br />

a znaky poznámek (libovolně *, ^**, ¹, ²⁾ ...) se zde vloží současně manuelně; přirozeně je nutno vložit ten samý znak i na odpovídající misto do textu (obé spolu propojeno není).

Pozn.: vyskytuje-li se v textu poznámky rovnítko =, poznámka se zpravidla nezobrazí; v tom případě je nutno rovnítko zaznamenat jako <nowiki>=</nowiki>.

(English)  This template includes original footnotes into a text, where more pages of the original document are on one page here on Wikilivres, where the pages are formated by e.g. class=prose and numbered by the template {{pagenumber}}; the original footnotes should be placed at the end of each page.

Use the syntax

... text of the last line of the page X
{{pagenote|text of the note}}
continuing text on the page Y ...

or

... text of the last line of the page X
{{pagenote|text of the note}}{{pagenumber|000}}
continuing text on the page Y ...

at the end of each original page. All notes you should include into the parametre {{{1|}}}, if there are more notes so use <br /> like e.g.

* note No. 1 <br />* note No. 2 etc.<br />

The sign of the footnotes are free (like *, ^**, ¹, ²⁾ etc.) and they must be included not only in the template but also at the corresponidng place in the document.

Note: when the note contains the sign = it can happen the note will not appear; include the sign in this case as <nowiki>=</nowiki>.
