He comes with a song,
With his strong healthy blood,
To find a young Blossom
All fresh from the bud.
With his body like amber,
And his kisses to come -
Is she deaf to his voice,
This Blossom so dumb?
He comes with a song,
This gallant young lover,
And he fusses about
Till his passion is over:
Till he lies like a baby -
With love in a mist -
To dribble and sleep
On the face he has kissed.
