Hello,

Welcome ! Bienvenue ! Yann 12:43, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

The following message was received at the account e-mail site.

"You know either this is WRONG or an old version, as the second verse in the FULL version (which was entitled "Empire - a song for all exiles") is

Red shapes ride to a reddened revel
Crimson queens with their hearts of ice
We have plunged our hands in the wine of the devil
Leave the saints to their paradise
Who would trade for a bloodless heaven
One fierce harlots hot caress?
Virtue is one, but the sins be seven
And sin is the only goodliness

There is far more which is not in your version!"

I am not at al familiar with this material. I'll leave it to you to do whatever needs to be done. Eclecticology 21:39, 6 December 2013 (AKST)

Thanks. I think I know what the issue is here but I need to check a few books to be sure. I'll add notes to the header template to clarify the situation as soon as I can. (For the record, I believe the longer version, Empire, was first published in 1975 and remains under copyright in both the US and Canada, while the short version, Black Chant Imperial, was first published in 1930 and is now in the public domain in Canada.) - AdamBMorgan 01:19, 9 December 2013 (AKST)
