Była jak lilie spragniona,
Aż się niebo ulitowało.
W miłosierdziu darzy ją swoim
Burzą deszczu, szumną i białą,
Wicher miota nią, jak w pokłonach,
A grzmot gromi ją na całe miasto:
"Pij, jak lilia, skoroś spragniona!
Pij, powiadam, schnąca niewiasto!"
