Na żądze ludzkie, hienom podobne i wilkom,
Wielki Sokrates myślał, wojował Psammetyk
Z Asyrii lwem, o śmiercią ziejącej gardzieli,
Gdyś ty, blada i w loków ozdobna ametyst,
Śpiewała, ku Plejadom, o miłości tylko...
